Aqueous Based Ink Jet Printers:
A velvet textured polycarbonate film in 5 or 10 mil thickness that can be printed with dye and pigment based inks on thermal or piezo printer platforms, including HP, Epson, Encad, Colorspan, Canon, Roland and Mutoh. The key benefit of Effex™ media is that it guarantees true color reproduction that is chemically fused to the film, eliminating any concerns of image delaminating when laminated or rolled for transport.
A clear or white static cling vinyl that can be printed with dye and pigment based inks on thermal or piezo printer platforms, including HP, Epson, Encad, Colorspan, Canon, Rowland and Mutoh. One of the most popular features of this product is that it can be laminated with a thin gauge low temp thermal or psa for repositionable, long term decorative window graphics.
- Fusion™ Over Laminating Films
- Fusion Over Laminating films feature a solvent based acrylic adhesive for durability and film liner for ultimate smoothness and ease of processing. They are available in velvet textured polycarbonate in 5, 10 & 15 mil thicknesses and are recommended for any graphic requiring a durable, non-glare, anti-graffiti surface which gets rolled up for transport or storage. Fusion Over Laminating films are also available in a textured co-pvc film in 5, 10 and 15 mil thickness as a cost effective alternative to polycarbonate when polycarbonate is not specified.
- Fusion II™ Backing Films for Aqueous, Solvent or UV Ink Jet Printed Graphics
- Fusion II backing films are 100% opaque white and feature a solvent based acrylic adhesive for durability and film liner for ultimate smoothness and ease of processing. They are available in 5, 10 & 15 mil thicknesses and are recommended for use with Utopia’s Effex™ printable polycarbonate to create the trade show graphics most in-demand for their high definition graphics, versatility and durability.
- Elements™ Adhesive Films for Art & Photography
 
Elements™ is an exclusive line of over laminating, mounting and backing adhesive films created specifically for art and photography. Because all art and photography that will be displayed or exhibited, requires surface protection and is generally mounted to a backer or board we formulated an optically clear, acid free, archival adhesive system and married it with the dimensionally stable films required for fine art and photography applications.
- Elements™ Over Laminating Films
These fine laminating films are available in several smooth satin and textured finishes and are free from plasticizer migration which can degrade the print. Elements™ over laminating films simplify things by safely allowing you to protect, preserve and display your photo or artwork with the finish that complements it best for the look and feel you want and to fit the environment it will be displayed in.
- Elements™ Mounting Adhesive Films:
Whether you mount to Gatorboard, Foamboard or surface mount to plexiglass or glass, our acid-free adhesive flows out smoothly, bonds tightly and eliminates any air pockets that could distort the image or cause delamination.
- Elements™ Backing Adhesive Films:
This is the product to use when you don’t need the rigidity of board but require durability with some flexibility. Elements™ backing films are ideal for art or photography that will be displayed in frames.

- Utopia Extreva™ Coated Films
- Extreva is Utopia’s proprietary coating system for industrial and other graphics printed on the HP Indigo press. This system is formulated for a variety of difficult to coat substrates such as polycarbonate, polyester, hardcoats, flexible and rigid vinyls. Extreva™ is extremely durable, provides long term adhesion and optical consistency for high end industrial graphics and unlike competitive products, Extreva™ does not degrade the printer blanket with repeated use and has no shelf life issues.
